Functieomschrijving
The Quality Manager works within the Operations Team. Two Laboratory Technicians and Two Quality Officers report to the Quality Manager.
As a Quality Manager you take care of the daily execution and planning of necessary analyses and projects for the Laboratory. Next to that you will take care of the quality management system from where you will assess and continuously improve processes to a higher standard. You are responsible for the implementation of innovation projects and production processes in collaboration with other departments. The Quality Manager provides guidance, direction and develops a team of lab and quality employees to ensure constant quality, meeting quality standards (ISO 9001) and feed additive standards (GMP+) as well as reliability.
The Quality manager provides knowledge, coaching and training to involved departments to ensure a high quality execution of the quality related process chains as well as compliance to the related standards.
The Quality Manager report into the Site Manager
- Daily management of 2 Laboratory Technicians;
- Responsible and taking care of the Quality Control of products and raw materials;
- Initiating, planning and writing of service projects;
- Responsible for recording specifications, analysis methods and result;
- Responsible for the planning, correct execution of laboratory tests;
- Responsible for the regular maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies;
- Identify external laboratory support and Assessing external laboratory results;
- Develop and introduce new analysis techniques to increase efficiency and shorten analysis lead times;
- Reporting on performed analyses;
- Cost allocation of laboratory supplies and internally/externally performed analyses to the cost centers;
- Key contact person for laboratory suppliers;
- Ensuring current and up-to-date regulations, procedures and manuals in the appropriate systems (document management system, SharePoint).
- Align with Innovation and jointly prepare investment request to improve lab facilities.
- Responsible for BOM creation in ERP System (SAP)
Quality:
- Daily Management of 2 Quality Officers
- Responsible for quality system management system Ensuring current and up-to-date regulations, procedures and manuals in the appropriate systems (document management system, SharePoint).
- Responsible for certifications such as GMP+, FSMA, ISO 9001 and prepare and manage subsequent audits.
- Support Sales/business management with customer questionnaires
- Management and removal of waste and off-spec products
- Contact person to Dutch feed authorities (nVWA)
- Develop and facilitate test protocols together with with innovation and operations to qualify new raw materials and new products in production environment.
- Responsible for a correct and timely handling of customer complaints.
- Responsible for development of training and coaching for quality related activities in the executing departments.
Functie eisen
- HLO (bachelor) degree in Analytical Chemistry or similar;
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality control laboratory or other relevant experience;
- Experience in working with quality management systems in GMP+/FAMIQS/FSMA environment;
- Experience with setting up production qualification trials is a plus;
- Management experience in a quality environment is a plus;
- Proven leadership skills;
- Experience with systems, MS Office, SAP, Stoffenmanager;
- Experience with HPLC;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
